Nollywood actor Ernest  Asuzu, who was recently ill with stroke, has said he was abandoned by his fellow actors.

The actor stated this during an interview with Linda Ikeji Blog on September 28, 2017.

According to Ernest, the Actors Guild of Nigeria, under the administration of Ibinabo Fiberesima, didn’t and have still not checked on him.

“All the Nollywood actors ignored me, including Ibinabo who was the AGN president at that time,” he said.

She never came to check on me, all the actors never came even till now.  I treated myself until I got this better.”

In 2016, the recovering actor was gifted with a brand new jeep and cash to start afresh by Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Warri, Delta state.

The prophet gave him a brand new jeep worth N3.5m, and a parting sum of N1.5m to enable him to start up a new life.

Other actors who have accused AGN of abandoning them in the past include the late Prince James Uche.

In 2016, after the AGN claimed to have paid off his hospital bills and house rent, Prince James Uche denied receiving any help from the AGN and pleaded with Nigerians to help him.

Ernest Asuzu, until his ailment, was an active actor in Nollywood. He is popular for movies such as “Accidental Discharge,” “Royal Wedding,” “Chain Reaction” and “Dirty Game.”
