#Gist : 2baba In Tears As Wife, Annie Ends Fight With Baby Mama Pero

It looks like the age-long rift between Pero Adeniyi, 2Face Idibia’s baby mama and Annie Idibia has come to an end following a now-viral video where the two were since making peace.

In the video which has since gone viral, 2Face Idibia can also be spotted crying as the two women resolve their age-long conflict. Obviously surrounded by friends, it was more of a celebratory mood as loads of cash was been sprayed on all parties involved.

This is coming years after a rift between Annie Idibia and Pero Adeniyi. Pero Adeniyi happens to be 2Face’s first baby mama who gave birth to three kids for the music star. Their rift can be traced back to 2015 and 2016 when they both called each other out on social media.

Their frosty relationship took a front burner when photos of 2Face Idibia reportedly kissing Pero Adeniyi at the singer’s nightclub back in 2015 broke the Internet.

Back in 2015,  2face Idibia was spotted kissing his baby mama Pero Adeniyi in his nightclub. According to a story published by blogger Stella Dimokokorkus, the popular Nigerian musician was seen in the VIP section of his Festac nightclub, Rumours with the mother of his three kids, Pero Adeniyi.

Stella alleges that the pair were more than in a comfy position, as they cozied up, kissing and frolicking. Pictures of 2face and Pero kissing were also posted on the blog, corroborating with the story. The report further alleges that 2face’s wife Annie Idibia caught the wind of what was happening in the club and decided to confront 2face on the issue.

Annie is said to have stormed the club but was diverted by the club’s management into a room where she was told her husband would join her shortly. Annie was allegedly locked in the room for the period and when she was eventually given access to leave, 2face and Pero had ended their ‘meeting’. But when Annie went into the room, she was locked in for some time and by the time she was let out, the fun was over and Pero had left whilst Tuface was about to leave’, Dimokokorkus wrote.

Immediately after the news of kissing incident broke the Internet, Annie Idibia released a press statement on the issue. She spoke to That1960Chick saying that the ‘incident’ was a temporary distraction and as opposed the stories carried by blogs she didn’t go the club to confront her husband.

“I am aware of the photo’s circulating the internet with my husband and Pero Adeniyi. I want to state officially that I was not in that space at that time and therefore there was no confrontation between myself and Pero Adeniyi.

“Pero Adeniyi and this momentary indiscretion poses no threat whatsoever to my relationship with my husband. As a matter of fact, for all of our children’s’ sake, I do encourage cordial relationships with parties involved. This year, my focus is solely on God, Family and my Career which doesn’t give me the luxury of paying attention to any distractions,” the statement read.

Annie Idibia was however accused by  Funmi Bazuaye today, June 1, 2016, for shading her sister, Pero 2Face’s first baby mama, who has three kids for the music icon with her latest post on Instagram.

According to Bazuaye, Annie is a hypocrite who harasses Pero anytime 2Face tries contacting his children. She also accused the actress of cutting off the kids from their dad. She claims 2Face has to hide to call or facetime them just because he doesn’t want the actress’ troubles.

#Nigeria : News : FG Plans To Increase Fuel Price To N185 – Fayose

Former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose has alleged that the Federal Government is  planning to increase the pump price of fuel from N145 to N185 in 2019.

According to Daily Post, the former Governor said that the government is delaying the increase because of the effect it will have on the elections.

Fayose also warned the government not to increase the price of fuel because many Nigerians are suffering.

He added that “Nigerians have suffered enough in the hands of the APC government and won’t accept any further upward review of petrol pump price.

“They are delaying the increment till March because of its effects on the February 2019 elections.”

Fayose also described as an old excuse, the claim by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that maintaining the pump price of fuel at the current rate of N145 is unrealistic.

According to Daily Post, NNPC boss, Maikanti Baru told a Senate investigative committee that the corporation set up a $1.05 billion Support Fund to cushion the difference (N40) in the landing cost of the imported fuel and the actual pump price.

The Senate committee is reportedly investigating the NNPC for allegedly setting up the support fund without the National Assembly’s appropriation.

Fayose also wondered why the NNPC will go ahead to spend the $1.05 billion without remitting the money in the government’s account first.

“Nigerians are suffering. Millions of jobs have been lost and even many of those still employed are not gainfully employed. The federal government must not add to the burden of the suffering masses by increasing the pump price of petrol as being planned,” he added.

Former Governor Ayo Fayose was released from Ikoyi Prison on Monday, October 29, 2018, after his arraignment in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

He is being accused of receiving money illegally to fund his 2014 governorship campaign from the Office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.

#Gist : Tithes Should Be Deducted From Workers’ Salaries And Forward To Church – Archbishop

A Catholic Archbishop of Kampala, Uganda, has suggested that the central government should deduct 10 per cent from the monthly salaries of workers and forward directly to the church as tithe.

Most Reverend Cyprian Kizito Lwanga made this statement during Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Rubaga, adding that non-payment of tithes affects the development of the church.

He said, according to Citizen TV:

Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church.

Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us. Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?

Lwanga pointed out that in Germany, citizens who are registered as Catholics, Protestants or Jews have a church tax (Kirchensteuer) where 8 to 9 per cent of their annual income is deducted. The church tax is collected by the government and channeled to the respective religious organizations.

He said:

I was told Germans make agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithe from their salaries and forward it to the church and this money they use to build and renovate their churches.

#Nigeria : News : EFCC Moves Fayose To Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has moved ex-governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose from its Abuja office to Lagos state where he will be tried at a Federal High Court on Monday October 22nd.

Fayose visited the anti-graft agency’s office on Tuesday, October 16th, to answer questions regarding his involvement in the $2.1 billion arms procurement funds. He is alleged to have received N1.3 billion from the office of the former National Security officer, Sambo Dasuki, through Musiliu Obanikoro for the rigging of the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti state.

The Nation reports that EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, who confirmed the filing of charges against Fayose, said

“Fayose has been served with charges alongside his company, Spotless.”

Reacting to the development, the spokesperson of the former governor, Lere Olayinka, said Fayose is waiting to be charged to court, whenever the EFCC is ready. He claimed that the EFCC does not have evidence to prosecute the ex-governor.

“With the deafening noise that they made about the evidence of corruption in their possession and even going by the EFCC ignoble tweet of July 15, 2018, in which the commission expressed its readiness to prosecute the former governor immediately he no longer enjoyed immunity, Nigerians had expected that by now, he will be facing trial in court.

“However, because the EFCC does not have any evidence against Fayose, the commission has opted to keep him in detention so as to satisfy its paymasters whose major agenda is ‘Fayose must be kept out of circulation by whatever means.’

“If not that they are just interested in keeping him out of circulation, why is the anti-graft commission not in court to prosecute him with the ‘overwhelming evidence’ it claimed to have?” he said

#Nigeria : News : Nnamdi Kanu Appears In Israel A Year After Disappearance

Nigeria’s social media is buzzing with pictures of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who’s been missing for over a year, and widely believed to be held by the Nigerian government.

Kanu has not been seen in public since an alleged attack on his father’s compound by soldiers on September 14, 2017, and has missed court appearances since then. His parents, HRH Eze Israel Kanu and Lolo Sallyhave also been missing in the same period.

However, if pictures that have now surfaced on social media on Friday, October 19, 2018, are to be believed, the IPOB leader has simply been in hiding over the past one year.

Nnamdi Kanu poses for a picture in Jerusalem

In a short video that has been published by several unreliable sources on Twitter and YouTube, Kanu was spotted praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.

Many people have also posted pictures that the IPOB leader posed in with other people, with many already speculating the reasons for his reappearanceNnamdi Kanu poses for a picture in Jerusalemplay

While many people see his reappearance as vindication of the government’s position that Kanu was running from the law, others allege that he’s likely making a reappearance to disrupt the 2019 general elections.

Kanu had previously been reported to have been spotted in Ghana with his wife, Uchechi, in February 2018, but she claimed weeks later to be unaware of his whereabouts and accused the government of illegally holding him hostage.

“Nigerian Army should tell the world what has happened to him because they were the last people who were in touch with him,” she said.

Pulse cannot independently verify the authenticity of the pictures and video as of yet as efforts to reach IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, have proved abortive.

However, according to a report by The Punch, Kanu’s brother, Emmanuel, confirmed that it was him in the video that’s making the rounds on social media.

Emmanuel also told The Punch that IPOB’s deputy director, Uche Ejiofor, has also confirmed that it was Kanu in the video.

“I can confirm to you that the person in the video is Kanu. He was praying in the video that we saw. We are happy that he is still alive and we will try to establish communication with him,” he said.

Kanu’s troubles with the Nigerian government started after he was arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS) in 2015 and spent two years in custody until he was granted bail on health grounds in April 2017.

#Nigeria : News : CBN To Suspend ATM Card Maintenance Charges As Directed By Senate

The Nigerian Senate has called on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to suspend the ATM card maintenance charges being deducted from customers in a resolution passed during plenary on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

The upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly also directed commercial banks operating in the country to configure their machines to dispense up to N40,000 per withdrawal pending the outcome of investigations by the Senate committees tasked with probing the excessive and illicit bank charges.

Nigeria's central bank counters MTN in court document over $8.1 billion demand

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, said the motion affects every Nigerian and should be addressed by the relevant authorities. He said the Senate must ensure that effective resolutions are reached to ease the financial burden of excessive bank charges on everyday Nigerians.

He said, “This is a motion that affects the lives of every Nigerian  –  irrespective of what part of the country you come from or whatever political affiliation you might have. This is why we are here: to always defend and protect the interests of the Nigerian people.

“This Senate has done this many times before; when there was a hike in the mobile telecommunication data charges, we intervened and put an end to that. When there were discrepancies and increases in electricity prices, we also took action. We have done this on a number of similar cases. Therefore, on this, I want us to take effective resolutions.”

Speaking further on ATM withdrawal limits, Saraki said it’s time for the banking sector to get rid of unnecessary charges that affect customers.

“For me, this is a major step that we are taking. This is because I introduced the first ATM machine that came into Nigeria over 25-years ago. Now, after 25-years, we should have grown out of these excessive charges and moved on.

“So, I believe that this something that we must address to create an environment that protects all Nigerians, because these kind of charges in this economy affects everyone,” he said.

The motion on the illicit and excessive bank charges on customers’ accounts was sponsored by Senator Gbenga Ashafa (Lagos East, APC).

While moving the motion titled “Motion condemning Illicit and Excessive charges by Nigerian Banks on Customers Account with particular focus on Automated Teller Machine (ATM) Maintenance and withdrawal charges”, the lawmaker expressed concern that there have been several complaints from Nigerians generally and on social media concerning illicit and excessive charges being deducted by commercial banks in Nigeria.

He said, “It appears the CBN is becoming insensitive to the plight of Nigerians who are already complaining of excessive charges by commercial banks.

“If the CBN is trying to encourage a cashless Nigeria, why should they be making it more difficult and expensive for Nigerians to do transactions?”

While contributing on the issue, other lawmakers lamented about the charges and questioned why Nigerians are burdened with them.

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha (Taraba South – PDP) said, “The common man is also a victim. Banks declare profits and you wonder where these profits are coming from  –  it’s from the sweat of the common man. Let us come up with a law that puts banks on their toes.”

Senator Kabiru Gaya (Kano South – APC) said the banking sector needs to be questioned on some of its practices that are negatively affecting Nigerians.

“The Senate must take a serious stand on this issue. Nigerians are really suffering. The banking system is not encouraging. I had an issue, took it to the bank and was refunded but how many Nigerians can do this? The issue needs to be addressed,” he said.

Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah (Kebbi South – APC) also said, “It won’t be out of place to institute a committee that will call on the CBN to tell us what these charges are about. The Senate by fiat should abolish charges if they can’t be verified.”

The upper legislative chamber further directed its Committees on Banking, Insurance & other Financial Institutions and Finance to conduct an investigation into the propriety of ATM card maintenance charges in comparison with international best practices and report back to the Senate.

The committees were also directed to invite the Governor of the CBN, Godwin Emefiele, to appear before the Senate to explain why the official charges as approved by the CBN are skewed in favour of the banking institutions as against the ordinary customers of the banks.

The Senate also called on the Consumer Protection Council to look into the various complaints of excess and unnecessary charges by Nigerian banks.

#Nigeria : News : Police Arrest Madman Over N1.5 Million Alert

Looks like this certain, ‘madman,’ named Dele is about to steal Clifford Orji ‘s thunder. Ol’ Cliff must be rolling in his grave, fuming at this imposter’s nerve.

Who remembers Clifford Orji? The infamous ‘cannibal’ who supposedly ate human beings for a living while posing as a ‘madman.’ When he was finally nabbed by Nigerian law enforcement, stacks of cash were found in his home, and allegedly, so were complimentary cards bearing names of the rich, mighty and popping.

Ritual killing is a booming business in Nigeria, no amount of wokeness can erase that. People still believe they can get rich off murdering and sacrificing their fellow human beings, and that is probably one reason why Dele, a supposed ‘madman,’ wandering the streets of Isikan Market, Off Ondo-Road, Akure was nabbed by members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

According to Linda Ikeji’s Blog, Dele had been popular around the area, parading himself as a madman, but after witnessing some of his shady behavior, that looked to endanger lives and property, residents of Isikan, Akure – his dwelling space – reported Dele to the NSCDC because they felt he could be a kidnapper — Dele was picked up.

Alas, the madman had a phone. He also receives credit alerts. And yes, one of such credit alerts brought in a whopping N1.5 million. Did I hear you say, how? Yeah, join us in asking the same question.

This event was confirmed by Commandant of the NSCDC in Ondo State, Pedro Awili on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. According to Awili, the culprit has been handed to the Corps’ Quick Response Squad (QRS) for immediate arrest.

‘Madman Dele,’ the culprit and seven other criminals were paraded for various offences before journalists at the command’s Alagbaka office, Akure later that day.

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the Senate President Bukola Saraki as the director-general of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation

Mr Saraki’s official position was made known on Tuesday morning by Kola Ologbondiyan, the party’s spokesperson.

While Mr Abubakar was elected the presidential candidate of the main opposition party at its national convention in Port Harcourt earlier this month, Mr Saraki was amongst the 11 other aspirants who challenged Mr Abubakar for the ticket. All the aspirants have pledged support to Mr Abubakar, after deeming the exercise peaceful and transparent.

Following his appointment, the senate president is expected to work with six others who would coordinate the six geopolitical zones, including three other former contenders for the presidential ticket.

The zonal coordinators were announced as follows: Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal (North-west); Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi (South-East); Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo (North-east); Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike (South-south); Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom (North-central) and former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose would lead South-west push.

Messrs Turaki, Dankwambo and Tambuwal all unsuccessfully vied for the presidential ticket against Mr Atiku.

Other key appointments into the campaign structure would be disclosed soon, Mr Ologbondiyan said.

#Nigeria : News : Fayose Reports To EFFC

A former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has been sworn-in as the state’s supreme leader on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in Ado-Ekiti.

Dr. Fayemi, who won the July 14 governorship election held in the state on the platform of All Progressives Congress, defeated the then Deputy Governor of the state and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Professor Kolapo Olusola, and other candidates to emerge the winner of the election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared that Fayemi polled 197,459 votes, while, his closest rival, Olusola got 178,121 votes.

Meanwhile, scores of supporters have arrived at the Wuse 2 office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to support former Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The ex-Ekiti State Governor, whose tenure expired midnight on Monday, said earlier in the day that he would visit the ant graft agency on Tuesday with his bedclothes and pillowcase.

It was gathered that Fayose entered into the EFCC office in Wuse 2 in the company of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.

Fayose, who wore a customised T-shirt emblazoned with “EFCC I’m Here” over a pair of jeans and a face cap, went into the Commission with a bag pack.

Speaking with newsmen at the Commission, Fayose alleged that the EFCC deployed its men in his home, even when he had shown willingness to honour the Commission’s invitation.

Fayose’s immunity ends along with his tenure and he has been invited to the headquarters of the EFCC where he will answer to allegations that he received about N1.3bn from the Office of the National Security Adviser through the then Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.

#Nigeria : News :APC’s NEC Passes Vote Of Confidence On Buhari,Names him As Presidential Candidate

Incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari has been named as the 2019 presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the party’s National Executive Committee.

ThisDay reports that this was confirmed by the National Secretary of the party, Maimala Buni, in Abuja on Tuesday.

The party’s NEC has passed a vote of confidence on the president, he said, which is all it takes to have him as the party’s candidate.

He however added that any other aspirant is free to pick up the party’s nomination form.

He said:

Once the National Executive Committee of the party passes a vote of confidence on the president, that president stands accepted because the NEC is the highest organ of the party and it met to take the decision, where every interest was represented.

So the NEC of APC has passed a vote of confidence on our president and that means every APC member has endorsed him.

In advanced democracies, once the NEC of a party passes vote of confidence on the president, nobody contests against the president. The president has been accepted

A group had previously obtained the ₦45 million nomination and notice of intention forms on the President Buhari’s behalf.

#Nigeria : News : There Will Be Regular Power Supply If Buhari Is Re-Elected – Rotimi Amaechi

The Minister of Transportation and Director general of the Buhari campaign organization, Rotimi Amaechi has said Nigerians will enjoy 24 hours power supply if President Buhari is re-elected in 2019.

Amaechi disclosed this during an interactive session with the media in Abuja on Tuesday September 11th.

Speaking on why Buhari and the APC government deserves second term, Amaechi said

There is also an improvement in power. We have from 3000megawatt to 7000 but we are distributing 5000 because some of the Infrastructures are not in good state  but we are slowly  fixing them.

“The expectation is that it should be 24 hours power supply but there will still be a gap but if you give us a second term, that gap will be closed.” he said

Speaking further, the former Rivers state governor said

“Nigerians have taught me a lesson I learnt in politics and that is why nothing bothers me again. The people praising you today, if you see them when you are out of power, you will be shocked.  Those singing hallelujah and hosanna will still be the same people to shout crucify him tomorrow.

“We have done much more than transport. In terms of Corruption; this economy was a rent economy. Public money was spent anyhow and it was an economy that was not worked hard for. That is why you see politicians today very rich and one year after government,  they are poor. They are like that because they don’t know how to manage the money.

“When Buhari came, he said no and that we cannot continue to spend anyhow. Buhari has not said people should not steal, he has rather kept quiet to see who can steal because there is a consequence for stealing.

“I don’t want to say it has stopped completely but it has reduced. Before, there were so many empty houses in Abuja. People were building and speculating that new politicians will come in and buy but we came in and could not buy because of the economy. So if you say Buhari has not done anything on corruption, you are being most unfair.

“Also, the 2016 budget was 6percent capita but we are doing 20 percent capita now. We are doing 80 percent recurrent and 20 percent capital. We believe that in the next two to three years, we will get to 30 percent capital and we will get there if we reduce the current expenditure and deal with wastage.”

“It is also unfair if Nigerians think the ministry of works is not working. The road to Bonny was abandoned after Obasanjo left government.

“The road was below N39bn but it is now N120bn. When I was Governor,  I wrote to federal government under Jonathan  that I wanted to do the road for N39bn but they didn’t reply me.

“My final year as governor,  energy wrote that they will take care of 50 percent of the bill and I wrote again to the Federal Government but they didn’t reply because I was in APC. Now that the Federal government wants to do it, the cost is now N120bn.

“So, Buhari government is dealing with corruption, building roads. The worst roads in Nigeria used to be between Uyo and Calabar but it has been awarded.

“The road to Enugu too that people are complaining about, contractors are working on the roads already. The work may be slow but they are working. When we came oil was $28 per barrel and our budget was $35 and suddenly it dropped but the Minister of Budget managed it for us to survive. Now oil is $74 but we still have not reached $110. If we get to that, things will change rapidly. Also the Ilorin-Jebba road. So many roads have been awarded.

#Kenya : British Prime Minister Theresa May been dancing again In Kenya

We’re not sure if it’s gangnam style or Theresa-style but there’s no stopping our dancing queen. Theresa May was spotted busting out some serious dance moves while at the UN offices in Nairobi, Kenya. She was there to talk plastics and meet scouts but it seems she couldn’t help catch the beat.

Mrs May shows off her footy skills while former Norwegian politician and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme Erik Solheim looks on

As a band played music, the PM joined in the dancing by copying the moves of some young scouts – swinging her arms in a move that has now been dubbed the ‘Maybot’. She was first seen doing her signature move at a school in South Africa at the start of her trip. Mrs May jokingly played down her chances of appearing on Strictly Come Dancing after she was seen breaking it down on the dancefloor in Cape Town.

Prime Minister Theresa May breaks into dance whilst meeting with scouts at the United Nations offices in Nairobi on the third day of her visit to Africa

Elsewhere on her UN visit, the PM was given a demonstration on the reuse of plastics and how bags and bottles can be made into everyday items such as balls, dolls, a dress and tennis rackets. She also bowled a ball at nine plastic bottles, achieving a strike. She was heard saying: ‘That’s better than I normally do’.
